Cricut A4 Max Cut Area Template (PNG / SVG)

A template built from pixel-by-pixel testing of the actual safe cutting area on the Cricut Explorer 3 for A4 paper.

The registration markers in each corner eat into your usable space, but Cricut never tells you exactly how much. This template maps out the maximum safe cut area (18.3 × 26.98 cm) for A4 paper so you can fit as many designs as possible on a single sheet with no wasted paper.

If you make sticker sheets or anything that requires multiple cut layers, you've probably run into Cricut stripping transparent pixels on import, making your layers different sizes and breaking alignment. This template includes small corner markers that keep every layer the same bounding box size, so alignment works perfectly. You can turn them off in the Contour menu so they don't affect your final cut.

How I use it: I set my canvas to 1830 × 2698 pixels so the dimensions match the max cut area exactly (1 pixel = 0.01 cm). This way I can see the real-world size of my designs while I'm working without doing any math. When importing into Cricut, just set the width to 18.3 cm and it fits perfectly.
